Jironaut
Jironaut is a small, coaching-style assistant designed to help people think more clearly about Jira tickets before they’re created or refined.
It focuses on intent, assumptions, risks, and trade-offs — the things that are often missing when tickets are rushed or written under pressure.
What it helps with
- Clarifying the real problem a ticket is trying to solve
- Surfacing assumptions and hidden risks
- Improving shared understanding before work enters a backlog
- Supporting better conversations across roles
What it doesn’t try to do
- Write tickets for you
- Decide priority or scope
- Replace human judgement or context
- Enforce a single “correct” way of working
Status and direction
Jironaut started life as a Skunkworks experiment and is now in active use.
It continues to evolve based on real-world use, with a focus on staying small, focused, and genuinely helpful rather than feature-rich.
How to try it
